उसके घर गया था, कदर नहीं की उसने,
मैने भी वही समझा उसे जो उसने।

usake ghar gaya tha, qadar nahi ki usne,

I went to his house, he didn’t appreciate it,

मैं चुप चाप था वो आए, और
मेरे बिना कुछ बोले मुझे गलत समझ गए।

ठोकर मारा था मुझे पत्थर समझ के,
आज उन्ही पत्थरों की पूजा करना चाहते हो।

thokar mara tha mujhe pathar samajh ke,
aaj unhi pattharon ki pooja karna chahte ho

You thought I was a stone,
today you want to worship those stones.

कैसी हो गई है ज़िन्दगी,
सुबह होती है काम करना सिखाती है,
फ़िर शाम को रोना सिखाती है।

kaisi ho gai hai zindagi,
subah hoti hai kaam karna sikhati hai,
fir sham ko rona sikhati hai

How has life become,
teaches to work in the morning, teaches to work,
then teaches to cry in the evening.

अब तो मैं सपने में भी दर्द से कहने लगा हूँ,
के अब तू कोशिश न कर,
मैं खुद ही मौत तक तेरे साथ रहूंगा।

ab toh main sapne mein bhi dard se kehne laga hoon,
ke ab tu koshish na kar,
main khud hi maut tak tere sath rahunga

Now I have started saying with pain even in my dream,
that do not try now,
I myself will be with you till death.

जरुरत थी मुझे उसकी,
शोर करते हुए दिल में आई थी,
चुपके से बिन बताए चली गई।

jarurat thi mujhe uski,
shore karte hue dil mein i thi,
chupke se bin bataye chali gayi

I needed him,
i came to my heart shouting,
secretly went away without telling me.

सपने में भी आ जाती हो मेरे, जैसे हकीकत में रुलाया था
वैसे सपने में भी रुला जाती हो मुझे।

sapne mein bhi aa jaati ho mere, jaise hakikat mein rulaya tha
vaise sapne mein bhi rula jaati ho mujhe

You come to me in a dream, just like you cried in reality,
you make me cry in a dream too.

इतना हंसता था मैं अब मुस्कान भी नहीं आती,
बोलनेमें कितना माहिर था अब तो खुद को भी
मेरी आवाज़ भी नहीं आती।

itana hansta tha main ab muskaan bhi nahi aati,
bolnemen kitna mahir tha ab to khud ko bhi
meri awaaz bhi nahi aati

I used to laugh so much,
I don’t even smile anymore, how adept at speaking,
now even myself does not even know my voice.

दुनियां में सबसे मजबूत गरीब होते है,
क्योंकि उनके पास खोने के लिए कुछ नहीं है 

duniyan mein sabse majboot garib hote hai,
kyonki unke paas khone ke liye kuchh nahi hai

The strongest poor in the world are
because they have nothing to lose.
